What is this role about
SIXT Australia – Vic & SA is seeking a self-motivated Motor Vehicle Accident Claims Collections Agent to join its back office operations based at its Dandenong Head Office.
The Claims Collections Agent will be at the frontline making outbound calls and other communications to customers to provide practical, customer focused solutions in collections and credit management. The Senior Collections Agent’s goal is to provide fair and sustainable solutions to enable our customers to fulfil their financial obligations with minimum stress.
The successful applicant must have the ability to think on their feet whilst working in a team environment and will directly contribute to the success of the company by optimising cash flow and minimizing bad debt.
We are particularly interested in experienced, solutions focussed collectors who have worked in late-stage collections, hardship, or financial services and can bring their expertise to our growing team.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Make and receive high volume outbound/inbound calls to our customers.
• Increase our debt collection rates and reduce the volume of current debt
• Build and establish relationships with customers with rapport and trust
• Create positive outcomes by problem solving and negotiating hardship solutions suitable to our customers’ circumstances and our business needs
• Identify potential issues with payment delays and implement proactive solutions to resolve them
• Liaise with external parties (insurance companies, repairers and debt collection agencies) to facilitate claims resolutions
• Adhere to external regulatory and internal policy requirements and system processes.
• Provide administrative support to the Claims and Collections team
• Strive to achieve targets and deadlines in a results-oriented environment
What do we need from you?
• Extensive Debt Collection, Claims, Insurance experience
• Ability to overcome objections and interact with customers in difficult situations
• Excellent negotiation, critical thinking and communication skills
• Strong focus on customer service with the ability to manage sensitive customer interactions
• Self-motivated, proactive and a great team player
• Attention to detail, file integrity and compliance
• Excellent computing and literacy skills
• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
• Proven ability to work under pressure and multi-task effectively in an evolving environment
• Willingness to undergo further training where required
